EMH350
The EMH350 is the longest-established insulated hollow concrete block on the Finnish market. It is a good choice for partially heated spaces, such as garages, storage rooms and industrial buildings. The block is also widely used in foundations and basement storeys.
Concrete is a sustainable material. It neither rots nor moulds, as it contains no organic materials whatsoever. For this reason, insulated concrete blocks are among the most reliable building materials in terms of moisture performance. They are also recommended for use in basements and, in addition to stone houses, in timber-framed houses, foundations and wet-room walls.
The EMH350 block has a U-value of 0.25 W/m²K.

The 600 mm-long, 350 mm-wide insulated concrete block is the main product in the EMH350 product family. A graphite-enhanced EPS insulation core is secured between the block shells with casting cavities by dovetail joints, ensuring good thermal insulation.
Building with insulated concrete blocks is fast because the blocks are stacked rather than laid in mortar. At the same time, the structure is reinforced and the insulation joints are sealed with polyurethane foam. The generously sized casting cavities make it easy to install the necessary service installations, such as electrical conduits, electrical boxes and water pipes with tap fittings. Finally, the casting cavities of the structure are completely filled with concrete.

With a 350 mm corner block, it is easy to create the internal and external corners of a wall made of insulated concrete blocks. The block is designed to provide uniform thermal insulation throughout the corner. The corner blocks can be inverted. This creates a 2M overlap (200 mm), which improves the stability of the stacked blocks. At the design stage, it is worth noting that the block is 550 mm long. The 2M modular layout is therefore set out from the inner face of the wall.
The generously sized casting cavities and reinforcement slots ensure a uniform structure and straightforward installation, including at the building’s corners.

Pre-cut end blocks make it easy to form door and window openings in the building. Using end blocks eliminates the need for labour-intensive casting work around the openings.
The end block’s concrete shell is pre-cut at 200/400 mm, so the required overlap can be created simply by cutting away the block’s insulation section. The block can be used at its full length of 600 mm or shortened by sawing off the insulation section. This gives an end block measuring 400 mm. The remaining 200 mm-long block section can be used in the wall as normal.

The EMH350 product family includes a 600 mm-long pre-cut partial block. This block is used in all applications where a straight 600 mm-long foundation block cannot be used. The concrete shells are pre-cut, allowing the insulation to be cut with a handsaw to divide the block into 200 mm and 400 mm sections.
Our product range is the most comprehensive on the market and forms a carefully coordinated system. When a building is designed using a 2M modular layout, we can provide ready-made products to suit the project. This eliminates the need for labour-intensive on-site casting and processing of the blocks.

The cut block is used as part of the wall structure at intermediate floor, ventilated ground floor and often roof slab junctions. This makes it easy to connect adjoining structures, such as hollow-core slabs. The cut block is installed as part of the wall cladding. At the corresponding level, the hollow-core slabs are fitted to the cast inner shell. Any additional insulation is then fitted, along with the dowels and ring reinforcement for the hollow-core slabs. The structure itself then serves as formwork for casting the joint.
The 175 mm-wide product can be used in all types of walls made from insulated concrete blocks. In wider walls (LL400 and LL500), the additional insulation is installed between the block insulation and the joint concrete before the joint is cast. The thickness of the additional insulation is determined in accordance with the structural design and the type of structure.
