Column blocks

Stackable and castable column blocks are used when high load-bearing capacity is required. These products are commonly used to support balconies and roof structures in stone buildings, as well as in various foundation structures.

Our column blocks come in three different sizes.

Example applications:

  • Support for roof structures and balconies
  • Terrace foundations
  • Foundations for storage sheds, summer cottages, etc.
  • Façade columns
  • Load-bearing columns inside buildings

Castable 250 mm column blocks provide durable, harmonious columns, regardless of the project. Column blocks are not laid in mortar; instead, they are stacked on top of one another. To strengthen the joints between the blocks, PU-based masonry adhesive or cement-based mortar can be used.

Once the blocks have been stacked, the necessary reinforcing bars are fitted into the completed column form. The columns are then ready for concrete to be poured.

The solid 400 mm column block in the column block product range is designed for demanding applications. Wide column blocks are also often used when the dimensions of a project need to remain proportionate.

Column blocks are not laid in mortar; instead, they are stacked on top of one another. To strengthen the joints between the blocks, urethane-based masonry adhesive or cement-based mortar can be used. Once the blocks have been stacked, the necessary reinforcing bars are fitted into the completed column form. The columns are then ready for concrete to be poured.
